DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to invite you back to Keep Knoxville Beautiful’s Summit: Rooted in Place\, taking place on\nFriday\, January 30\, 2026\n9:00 AM – 2:00 PM\nEast Tennessee History Center \nThis year’s Summit will highlight meaningful placemaking work happening in Knox County and bring in voices from other communities to share inspiring projects and perspectives\, encouraging fresh thinking around long-term sustainability and place-based initiatives. \nWe’d love for you to be part of the conversation again. \n Tickets: $20 (lunch included)\n On sale: Tuesday\, January 6\nWe are pursuing continuing education credits through AIA for architects. Upon approval\, the Summit will be worth 2-3 AIA CEUs \nWant us to get the Summit approved for credits in your profession? Just let us know and we can look into that process!  \n\nCreated to clean-up up our scruffy city before the 1982 World’s Fair\, Keep Knoxville Beautiful has been working hard to keep Knoxville clean\, green\, and more beautiful for almost 50 years. \nAt Keep Knoxville Beautiful\, our mission is to promote litter eradication\, waste reduction\, and beautification efforts in Knox County communities using education\, events\, and volunteer engagement. Just in the last year we reached over 5\,000 students\, documented 18\,136 volunteer hours\, and cleared 113\,781 pounds of litter. We wouldn’t have been able to make it happen without our dedicated volunteers\, invaluable partnerships\, and the drive towards sustainability and involvement from community members like you!
