The class will cover the basic principles of vegetable gardening\, including a seed packet reading activity\, and participants will receive handouts to help them design and plan their summer gardens. \nDuring the second hour\, participants will walk across the parking lot to the Pastor Richard S. DESCRIPTION:Join Ijams Nature Center for the annual Hummingbird Festival\, a community celebration featuring hummingbird banding\, guided nature walks\, more than 50 artist vendors\, educational outreach tables\, art and science activities\, and community science opportunities. The festival draws several hundred visitors each year and offers conservation organizations and community partners an opportunity to connect with the public through interactive educational outreach. Educational vendors receive free 10×10 booth space with room for a table\, tent\, and materials. All booths must be set up by 6:30 a.m.\, with setup beginning as early as 5 a.m. \n
