In this class we will be building off of the traditional form of ribbed basketry as a jumping-off point for a wild material exploration in basketry. Students will learn how to harvest living materials for baskets\, develop a working knowledge of ribbed basket forms\, and practice making art in dialogue with the landscape. \nOpen to all skill levels. Moderate hand dexterity is needed for weaving and students should come dressed for an outdoor class. \nAll supplies are included. \nAges 16 and up are welcome. Moderate hand dexterity is needed for weaving and students should come dressed for an outdoor class. \nAll supplies are included. \nAges 16 and up are welcome.
