Led by Mr. Dave Gorman, Cedar Bluff Middle School has an outdoor classroom space that students work in on a daily basis. In the Spring of 2025, the YGEP focused on installing a vegetable garden for CBMS students in collaboration with Keep Knoxville Beautiful, as well as ensuring future health of the native plant landscaping by removing aggressive invasive plant growth. YGEP staff serve as consultants to Mr. Gorman in vegetable production and native plant maintenance and support his students in carrying out key seasonal maintenance tasks.
