Volunteer Forester Fall Session

September 18 @ 6:00 pm

This four week class is a great opportunity to learn about trees from industry professionals. Whether you are interested in the program for personal knowledge or job-related reasons, the courses provided will offer you worthwhile information.

NEW: This class is now free for all attendees, regardless of student/teacher/AmeriCorps status. We will gratefully accept donations of any amount if you feel compelled! Any questions can be emailed to info@treesknoxville.org. SIGN UP HERE!

Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 6-8 pm: Invasive Species ID Lesson with Lee Rumble, UT Extension Agent. Class held at Tyson Park (2351 Kingston Pike).

Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 6-8 pm: The Art and Science of Tree Pruning with Sam Adams, UT Campus Arborist, and Paul Reis, Urban Forestry Consultant. The class is held at UT Campus Gardens (2518 Jacob Dr).

Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 6-8 pm: Tree Health Lesson with Nicholas St Sauveur, Arborist at Cortese Tree Specialists. Class held at Morningside Park (1600 Dandridge Ave). Opening remarks from Melissa Hinten, Trees Knoxville Executive Director. Refreshments will be served during this time. Certificates will also be given out this night.
