The YGEP supports Ms. Moira York in her management and development of Aja’s Garden, a vegetable growing space, as well as native plant landscaping adjacent to Christenberry’s Outdoor Classroom. In the Spring of 2024, the YGEP served as landscaping consultants, in collaboration with Keep Knoxville Beautiful, when Ms. York was first designing and installing the native landscape. The YGEP’s main mode of support is through education, lowering barriers for students to learn outdoors by offering curricular enrichment opportunities for all grade levels throughout the school year and summer.
