Dr. Rev. Vivian Williams was raised on a farm in Cuba, Alabama where she and her family
currently raise organic vegetables at Mahala’s Farm In Cuba Alabama. She resides in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Vivian is a child advocate, who worked for Project GRAD and the Knox County School system until her retirement in May 2013. She is an active Cub Scout Master with Boy Scouts of America where she uses her time to educate boys and girls her (Agri Scouts) about producing healthy food and agricultural skills by planting raised beds at their Elementary school.
Vivian is an active member of the Knox County Master Gardeners, She also served on the Tennessee Extension Advistory Council and the Knoxville Food policy Council.
Vivian’s objectives as the Tennessee Chapter chairwoman include outreach, workshops, farm tours, and addressing the local food desert. The NWIAA TNChapter is the Co-sponsor of Eastside Sunday Market that is open June thru August. Vivian was instrumental in organizing the first Collegiate National Women in Agriculture Associations (NWIAA) Chapter at Tennessee State University. The National Women in Agriculture Association has provided contacts and resources to make these objectives a reality.
Vivian earned her Doctoral Degree in Ministry July 2018. She serves as Associate Pastor at the Mount Zion Baptist in
Knoxville, TN. She is an accomplished organizer, community leader and advocate for Jesus Christ.
