Baha’is Community “Building A Better World” Conference

Baha’is Community “Building A Better World” Conference

On September 27, 2025, the Knox County Community Gardens and Growers’ Alliance was honored to join the Knoxville Baha’i Community’s Building a Better World Conference, hosted at Northside Christian Church. This inspiring, day-long gathering invited participants to explore opportunities for personal growth, community building, and collective action. Our core staff, alongside Alliance member Burwell Farms, were grateful for the opportunity to host a table and share more about the work of the Alliance and its member gardens. With lunch and childcare provided and free admission for all, the event was accessible and welcoming to a wide range of participants.

The conference emphasized the importance of committing to work together over the next year toward building stronger, healthier, and more equitable communities. For our Alliance, this mission deeply resonates: community gardens are not only about food, but also about relationships, stewardship, and shared responsibility. Having a presence at the event allowed us to connect with new volunteers, potential partners, and neighbors who are eager to contribute to a vision of collective growth. We are grateful to the Knoxville Baha’i Community for inviting us to participate and look forward to carrying the spirit of the conference into our work in the seasons ahead.
