L. Caesar Stair III is one of the founders of the Knox County Community
Gardens and Growers’ Alliance.
After retiring from practicing law, he became a Master Gardener in 2017.
In 2020 and 2021 he served as President of the Knox County Master
Gardeners and in 2022 and 2023 as Past-President.
Inspired by Chris Battle’s talk given to the Knox County Master
Gardeners in December 2020, regarding the food insecurity and food
desert issue in the 37914 and 37915 zip code areas, on January 12, 2022,
he helped form the Knox County Community Gardens and Growers’ Alliance.
