On a hot September afternoon, a group of UTK students from MEDLIFE joined us at the Pastor Richard S. Brown Jr. Community Garden for a volunteer workday. MEDLIFE is a student-led organization dedicated to improving healthcare access, development, and aid for underserved communities in Knoxville and around the world. The volunteers helped spread mulch around the adopted beds to suppress weeds and improve the garden’s appearance. We’re incredibly grateful to them for reaching out and dedicating their time to help us tackle this important task!
