Black K.A.R.E. Health Fair

Black K.A.R.E. Health Fair

The Knoxville (TN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted the Black K.A.R.E. (Kidney Awareness, Resources, and Education) Community Health Fair at the Change Center in Knoxville. This free event aimed to raise awareness about chronic kidney disease and provide essential health services to the community.

The health fair was part of the Black K.A.R.E. Project, an initiative by The Links, Incorporated, focusing on kidney health awareness and education within the African American community. Attendees were encouraged to take the “Be Real Pledge,” committing to proactive kidney health management.

Our Garden Manager Assistant, India Peete, represented the Alliance, engaging with and providing free seeds to the community.
